Prayers

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of the battle; be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Loving Father, I surrender to you today with all my heart and soul. Please come into my heart in a deeper way. I say “Yes” to you today. I open all the secret places of my heart to you and say, “come on in” Jesus you are Lord of my whole life. I believe in you and receive you as my Lord and saviuor I hold nothing back. Holy Spirit, bring me to deeper conversion to the person of Jesus Christ. I surrender all to you: my health, my family, my resources, occupation, skills, relationships, time, management, successes and failures. I realise it, and let it go. I surrender my understanding of how things out to be, my choices and my will. I surrender to you the promises I have kept and the promises I have kept and the promises I have failed to keep. I surrender my weakness and strengths to you. I surrender my emotions, my fears, my insecurities, my sexuality. Lord, I surrender my entire life to you, the past, the present and the future. In sickness and in health, in life and in death, I belong to you.

“Take Lord. And receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding and my entire will, all that I have and all that I possess. You have given all to me. To you, O Lord, I return it. All is yours. Dispose of it wholly according to your will. Give me your love and grace, for this sufficient for me.” (Prayer of St. Ignatius)

Out of the depths, I cry to you, O Lord, hear my voice! O let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleading. If you, O Lord, should mark our guilt, Lord who should survive? But with you is forgiveness: for this we revere you. My soul is waiting for the Lord, I count on his word. My soul is longing for the lord more than watchmen on daybreak and Israel on the Lord. Because with the Lord there is Mercy and fullness of redemption; Israel indeed he will redeem from all its iniquity.

  1. eternal rest grant to them, O, Lord.
  2. And let your perpetual light shine upon them.
  3. May they rest in peace.
  4. Amen.

Let us Pray:

O God, the creator and redeemer of all the faithful, grant to the souls of your servants departed remission of all their sins, that through our pious supplication they may obtain that pardon which they have always desired; who live and reign forever. R. Amen

I wish, Lord, to receive you, with the purity, humility and devotion, with which your most Holy Mother received you, with the spirit and fervor of the Saints. Amen

Almighty and eternal God, look upon the face of your Christ, eternal and high Priest, and for love of him, have mercy on our ministers. O merciful God, remember that they are weak and fragile creatures. Keep alive in them the fire of your love. Keep them united to you, so that the enemy may not prevail against them and they may never be unworthy of their sublime calling.

O Jesus! I pray to you for your faithful and devout pastors, for your tepid and unfaithful pastors, for your pastors working nearby, and for those far away on the missions, for your pastors suffering from solitude and desolation, for your young pastors, for your old pastors, for your pastors who are ill, for your dying pastors for the souls of your pastors who suffer in Purgatory.

I recommend to you in particular the pastors who are dearest to me: the priest who baptized me, the priest who absolved me from my sins, the priests at whose masses I have assisted and who have given me your Body and Blood in Holy Communion, the priests who have guided me and all the pastors to whom I owe a debt of gratitude.

Jesus, look upon them and keep them all close to your heart and give them great graces both in this life and in eternity.

O Holy Patroness of those in need, Saint Rita, whose pleadings before thy Divine Lord are almost irresistible, who for thy lavishness in granting favors hast been called the Advocate of the hopeless and even of the Impossible; Saint Rita, so humble, so pure, so mortified, so patient and of compassionate love for thy Crucified Jesus that you could obtain from him whatsoever you ask, on account of which all confidently have recourse to thee, expecting, if not always relief, at least comfort; be propitious to our petition, showing thy power with God on behalf of thy suppliant; be lavish to us, as thou hast been in so many wonderful cases, for the greater glory of God, for the spreading of thine own devotion, and for the consolation of those who trust in thee.

We promise, if our petition is granted, to glorify, thee by making known thy favor, to bless and sing thy praises forever. Relying then upon thy merits and power before the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we pray thee grant that (REQUEST) obtain for us our request by the singular merits of thy childhood, thy perfect union with the Divine Will, thy heroic sufferings during thy married life, the consolation thou didst experience at the conversion of thy husband, the sacrifice of thy children rather than see them grievously offend God, thy miraculous entrance into the convent, thy severe penances and thrice daily bloody scourging’s, thy suffering caused by the wound thou didst receive from the thorn of thy Crucified Saviour, thy divine love which consumed thy heart, that remarkable devotion to the Blessed Sacrament on which alone thou didst exist for four years, the happiness with which thou didst part from thy trials to join thy Divine Spouse, the perfect example you gave to people of every state of life.

Pray for us, O holy Saint Rita, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the Rosary and Mother of Mercy, who has deigned to come to Fatima to reveal to the three little shepherds the treasures of graces hidden in the recitation of the Rosary, inspire our hearts and the hearts of all the faithful of Ntinda Parish with a sincere love of this devotion.  Trusting in your maternal mercy, and grateful for the goodness of your Immaculate Heart, we beg you to hear our prayers and to answer the favors we so earnestly seek of you in this novena:

Namely, for a swift end to the Coronavirus pandemic, for a prompt return to regular Mass attendance with a revitalized devotion to and belief in Jesus’ Real Presence in the Most Holy Eucharist, for a complete surrender to Jesus and to His Divine Mercy, and for any other intentions we may offer (mention any additional requests here)…

We ask this of you,  for the greater glory of God, for your own honor and for the good of all people.  Amen.

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I ask pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You!  Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly, and I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference with which He Himself is offended. And, through the infinite merits of His most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners. Amen.

(These are the prayers taught by the Angel to the children at Fatima).

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

To you, O blessed Joseph (Ad te, beate Ioseph)

To you, O blessed Joseph, do we come in our afflictions, and having implored the help of your most holy Spouse, we confidently invoke your patronage also.

Through that charity which bound you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God and through the paternal love with which you embraced the Child Jesus, we humbly beg you graciously to regard the inheritance which Jesus Christ has purchased by his Blood, and with your power and strength to aid us in our necessities. (Mention your necessities)

O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, defend the chosen children of Jesus Christ; O most loving father, ward off from us every contagion of error and corrupting influence; O our most mighty protector, be kind to us and from heaven assist us in our struggle with the power of darkness.

As once you rescued the Child Jesus from deadly peril, so now protect God’s Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity; shield, too, each one of us by your constant protection, so that, supported by your example and your aid, we may be able to live piously, to die in holiness, and to obtain eternal happiness in heaven. Amen.

I believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth, of things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;

Through him all things were made.  For us men and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, All the words that follow, up to and including and became man” all bow
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son he is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the Prophets.

I believe in one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church.

I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look to the resurrection of the Dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
