Divine Mercy Devotion
Overview
The Divine Mercy Devotion is a prayer ministry inspired by Christ to St. Faustina Kowalska. It reminds the faithful of God’s boundless mercy and strengthens the culture of prayer in the parish.
Established at St. Charles Lwanga in 2021, the devotion brings parishioners closer to God through prayer, acts of mercy, reception of the sacraments, and trust in Jesus.
Mission
To foster a prayerful community rooted in the message of Divine Mercy, encouraging the sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion, and devotion to God’s mercy for the salvation of souls.
Objectives
- To nurture prayerfulness among parishioners through the Chaplet and Hour of Mercy.
- To encourage participation in Confession and Holy Communion, especially on Divine Mercy Sunday.
- To extend acts of mercy to the sick, the imprisoned, and those in need.
- To lead the parish in Divine Mercy Sunday and other seasonal devotions centered on God’s mercy.
