About St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Parish Ntinda
St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Parish Ntinda church building is an imposing structure whose architectural designs embody modernity and tradition. Every day it opens its doors to parishioners, even the most hurting. Behind this magnificent structure and loving Christian community, lays a story, an experience through the tumultuous years of President Idi Amin in 1970s to date. In the 1970s, Ntinda Parish did not exist, Christians used to walk to Naguru to attend Sunday Mass. The parishioners had to move to surrounding parishes like Mbuya, Christ the King and Mulago. These were quite a distance away and this required courage, strength, faith and commitment.
