The Catechist
Overview
The Catechist Ministry serves as the pastoral and liturgical support arm of the parish. Catechists assist the Parish Priest in spiritual guidance, sacramental preparation, and the smooth running of liturgical services.
This ministry exists to ensure that parishioners receive meaningful, well-organized liturgical celebrations while fostering spiritual growth and preparation for sacraments.
Being a Catechist is a real vocation to serve God among His people, to help them adhere well to their creator. The work of a Catechist is very important in deepening religion among the people. He or she should be knowledgeable about the liturgy, hymns, catechism, and should be a clean person, cooperating well with people of other faiths so as to be respectable in his or her area.
